Cleaning is one of the most essential one that you have to do for your expensive Italian Jewelry to retain its luster. Each type of jewelry needs its own way of cleaning. Let us take a look at cleaning processes for Gold, silver, diamond and pearl jewelries.

Tips to keep you jewelry shining

  • Gold:

First, gently wipe with a soft cloth to remove any dust accumulation. Next soak the Italian gold jewelry in a warm water mixed with a mild detergent for few minutes. Then use a soft brush to softly brush the grooves to remove the accumulated dirt. Now, rinse the jewelry in warm water and wipe gently with a soft cloth. Leave to air dry for some time. Once it is dried completely, store it in a jewelry pouch or satin pouch.

  • Silver:

A simple and easy method can be followed at home to remove the tarnish off the silver jewelry is by using aluminum foil. Line the bottom of glass bowl with aluminum foil and boil water in that. Mix 2:1 ratio of baking soda and salt, pour this mixture in glass bowl. Place your Italian silver jewelry and leave it for few minutes to cool down.  You can already see your jewelry sparkling. Remove the silver jewelry and wash them in warm water. Wipe them and leave it to dry for some time and store them.

  • Diamonds:

Diamonds let the light to enter and reflect it back. Even small amount of grease or oil can dull its reflection. You can follow the same method as you did for your gold jewelry, using a mild detergent in warm water and washing it. A soft bristle tooth brush can help you to remove the dirt. Finally, rinse the Italian Diamond jewelry with warm water and wipe it with soft cloth. Let it air dry and store them.

  • Pearls:

Pearl jewelry is one of the favorite for most of the women. Maintaining is pretty easy, your body oils make them shine more so all you have to do is wear frequently. In case, you are not wearing them frequently then all you have to do is wipe them with soft cotton cloth dabbed in Olive oil. Then use a dry cloth to polish those cuties. You can use warm soapy water to clean the pearls but be careful not to soak them for a long time.
